OBD Codes P0076 P2648 and Faulty Alt.

Dudes I took a nice drive last Saturday and washed the car when I got home. After everything was dry and shinny I let it idle and when I tried to drive it into the garage it coughed and sputtered as though something was seriously wrong....
So I checked for OBD codes and P0076 and P2648 pop up both VVT-I related, the car idled fine but after a while the radio shuts down and the fuckin car dies....... It will not start ......now the fuckin battery is dead.."What The Fuck".... so I'm thinking the new alternator is toast........now I'm thinking I've gotta take the fuckin intake manifold and supercharger off to get the alternator out...a fuckin pain in the ass.....I like doing mods I hate repairs..
So now I'm thinkin what haven't I checked...ahh the fuses that control the VVT-I.. R6 is the sucker so I pull it and everything looks good and I check R3 Alt. sense fuse it's good also. I'm pissed now because I really hate repairs and I couldn't believe it ran so good and then nothing so just before I start to take shit apart I take one last look at the fuses again, this time I'm not takin any chances and have my Ohm meter in hand and guess what R6 is fucked, you could only see the break with a magnifying glass.......I change it out and the fucker is fine VVT-i is right and the Alt is puttin out proper voltage.....

If you think it could be a fuse and you don't see a burn...Ohm the fucker.....

Good info. I've seen fuses where the break was very hard to see. You're lucky to have seen this on the second look, finding problems like this can be a needle in a haystack.
